Action and explain your thought process.
Told him everything what I would do. He kept asking what other considerations you will take. I told him all but he was like did you consider him a FV or a vessel less than 20M or a sailing vessel before taking action.
60) SituationOpen sea
FV stopped Risk of collision
TUG & TOW
Less than 200M (CPA 0.5NM)YOU
I told him I would go to starboard.
Then he changed it that the fishing vessel ahead has a gear extending more than 150m on starboard side. Then your action.
This is where got fucked up and I said go to port but then I corrected my answer and told him no then in this case I would consider to slow down.
61)PDV
PDV
No Risk of CollisionYOU
Same like before explain your thought process.
I said go to starboard for this.
Then he said okay then you develop a Risk with the one on the port bow. I made a mistake saying it’s her responsibility to keep clear but then I realised I made a mistake and corrected myself by saying I will alter to starboard and then slowdown but he did not agree. That’s all there was I think. If you guys have any questions let me know. This was a very long exam.
Thanks for all the help from GMA and the class.
Best of Luck to all!!! -
