He has worked in the shipping industry since 1996.  He worked on deep sea vessels for various companies. He has also worked as MSQ for a chemical tanker company. After leaving sea in 2006 Capt. Gupta worked in Glasgow Nautical college as a curriculum manager teaching business and law to Master candidates. After leaving GCNS Capt. Gupta worked for the maritime and coastguard agency. In 2013 He formed his own maritime academy in Glasgow. He is now the CEO of Glasgow Maritime Academy LLP, World Yachts, shipowner.io, Alphaseas Management and esailor.net.

Capt. Shayne Carlyle Woodward, AFNI, HND, BSc

Capt. Shayne C. Woodward has a UK Master’s Unlimited licence, a B.Sc. and a Higher National Diploma in Nautical Science. He has worked in the shipping industry since 1998. He has worked on different types of deep-sea vessels. He qualified as a Master in 2008 and ever since then he specialized in the Gas sector. Currently Capt. Woodward works for Glasgow Maritime Academy as the Curriculum Manager; DPA for Alphaseas ship management UK and also content writer for esailor.net.

DR. (CAPT) Ivica Tijardovic

Over 38 years industry experience. General Manager & Chief Security Officer at Alphaseas Management Limited. Former ship builder, ship manager, a leading maritime educator with Glasgow Maritime academy and author of several maritime books & journals. Capt. Grieg Guthrie

Master Mariner BP

Has been at sea since 1995. He has command experience in BP shipping and currently works as a reserve lecturer for glasgow maritime academy and content writer for esailor.net during his time off at sea. Capt Guthrie has very recent experience with working on gas tankers.

Gordon Yuile

Gordon has been in maritime industry since 1971. He has extensive experience both at sea and in lecturing. He currently teaches marine engineering and high voltage courses at Glasgow Maritime Academy. He is also one of the content writer for esailor.net

Capt Vishnu Shankar

Over 17 years industry experience. Designated Person Ashore and CSO for Alphaseas. In addition to extensive seaborne experience, shore-based experience dealing with marine insurance, flag, class societies and port state authorities. Extensive experience in operational safety and security systems. Master’s License from Maritime & Coastguard Agency, UK, HND in Nautical Science, PQE from Institute of Chartered Ship brokers and Diploma in Marine surveying. Qualified Ism lead auditor. Chief Engineer Piyush Jain

23 years industry experience. Technical Director at Alphaseas UK. In addition to extensive seaborne experience, shore-based experience dealing with technical issues as superintendent, management of maintenance issues, procurement, repairs, dry docking and inventory. Chief Engineer’s License from Maritime & Coastguard Agency, UK, BSc (I.T) & HND in Marine Engineering.
