    Buoyage:

    • Emergency wreck buoy, could not give him the frequency of the lights, forgot them completely
    • South cardinal mark heading east
Smarty Board, full description plus action

vessels actions and your actions. In detail
    • Pilot says it’s fine to let them pass but you are concerned, actions
    • What would be your concern if you let the vessel pass
    RV:
    • What would you leave as orders for your 2/O in regards to finding RV
    • What rule 19 says
    • What is safe speed
A plot with two targets one Stb bow no Risk of Collision and another Stb quarter with Risk of Collision.
First question, what would be the approximate CPA of the vessel on the stb bow, Plot had range rings and
scale was 6 miles, first I got distracted because by doing the plot the target would be doing the same speed as
my vessel but Surveyor mentioned the target is coming in opposite directions which made it clear.
Action for the vessel on the stb quarter. He just wanted me to read the range rings.
What does rule 19 says regarding action to be taken, mentioned first if Risk of Collision exist and/or
closequarter situation is developing, for the vessel on the stb bow there was none so Alteration of Course to
    Port was acceptable.
At the end he came back to the Emg wreck buoy frequency but still could not give it and then the exam was
    finished.
On the feedback said that I would need to go and check the frequency and also missed a couple of certificates
    the MCA issues under ACS.
I mentioned ISM, MLC, ISPS, Safe Manning Document, British register certificate, tonnage cert but still missed
    a couple.
And also during the information given from CO to 2/O for passage planning, mentioned some Load Lines which
was not very clear given so he thought the knowledge was not ok but would Pass me.
At the beginning Both surveyors showed up and I thought they are going to drill me, as I failed first with
Minocha weeks ago and I was sure that Minocha would remember me. But exam went fine, Capt Anam gave
me a chance during the RV plot because I got stuck in my head the plot and didn’t listen to his change but then
he said I will give you another chance and if you give me the wrong answer the exam will be over. So he
repeated the change and it became clear what he wanted. Capt Anam was very fair.
    Best of luck
