    ● On a passage from Southampton to New York, what concerns may you have? What would you write in your standard orders?
    ● You experience unexpected ice, what are your actions?
    ● What else are you required to report as master?
    ● You have a phone call, from the second officer the pressure has dropped below 5mb what would your actions be?
    ● What characteristics would you expect to see? How would you know where you are regards to the TRS, and what are your actions? How would you know that you’re clear?
    ● Put me on a cargo ship, what certs do you carry?went into a bit of WBM.
    ● The 2nd officer on watch calls me, there’s a ship not taking action as per the rules, you walk on to the bridge hear five short blasts of the ships whistle and a PDV on port bow? Actions
    ● A few ROR scenarios…. Actions and why? Overtaking RAM, open sea fishing vessel on port bow, same situation TSS, a couple of multiple vessels too.
    ● 2nd officer calls you fog bank approaching, what are your actions, a few radar plots, actions and why? Asked if I could do what I couldn’t do? Also hearing vessels forward of the beam?
    ● What rules apply to restricted Vis?
    ● Gave me a compass error and variation, what is my deviation?
    ● Put me on a passenger ship, sat at anchor CM calls to tell you weather has deteriated, CM calls you straight back there’s a tanker lost its anchor and drifting towards you? Actions.
    ● The incident is over, tanker has been safely removed and you’ve compromised your collision bulk head, what are you going to do?
    ● What is standard, running & open more, when would you choose to use them all. Explain a Baltic moor and Medi moor why are they used?
    ● What is girting and how to prevent it?
    ● Rendering assistance to a vessel in destress, what’s your favourite search pattern?
    ● Buoyage, identify, light characteristics and actions, then east and west cardinal marks go between them
    ● lights and shapes.

This is what I can remember and ended up feeling like a discussion, rather than an orals exam as I settled in. Thanks to vinil, gma and most importantly my study team who were fantastic throughout and wish everyone all the best for there up and coming exam.
