    As usual Started with ID, Checked the room, asked about my previous experience. He said, as I will be going for Master’s unlimited so I might be put on a cargo ship as well.
    1. Joining as a Master on a ship, how will you go about from the Gangway?
    2. Taken over as Master, mention all the statutory certificates that you will have on board?
    3. How would you know the nationality of the Ship?
    4. How long is the certificate of registry is valid for? And Who issue this certificate?
    5. What’s the purpose of CSR and give the details mentioned in the CSR?
    6. When did you replace the CSR?
    7. What is ACS? And Explain about it?
    8. Who issue the SMC if under ACS? How long it is valid for and how often it is surveyed?
    9. International Load line certificate who would issue it and how long it is valid for and how often it is surveyed?
    10. How does a Load Line look like on a cargo ship?
    11. How often is the SMS reviewed and what is the purpose of the review?
    12. Where is the Master’s overriding authority mentioned? Under which ISM section?
    13. Under ISM audit what are the 3 types of findings? And what is meant by Major NC? As a Master what do you do if you have a Major NC?
    14. Voyage from Singapore to Durban? What will you consider as a Master?
    15. Suppose the 2nd Officer gives you 2 voyages one GC and a Rhumbline course, which one will you consider?
    16. Asked by Charter to give Maximum estimated quantity of Cargo that can be loaded and Ch.Officer is new. How will you go on to help the Ch. Officer?
    17. So 2nd Officer fell sick and had to go to hospital and ship have to sail, how would you go about it?
    18. What are the approaching signs of a TRS?

    20. So you receive a Phone call from 2nd officer, ship has a collision with a Fishing vessel, what do you do?
