    You are joining a bulk carrier as master, how will you proceed with the joining?
    What all certificates will you take over from the Master?
    One of your certificate is expired and pervious Master has left the vessel How will you go about

    As a master, do you have the authority to refuse to sail if your certificate has expired? And as per
    what?
    Which rules are to be complied under restricted visibility?
    2nd Officer calls you that you have encountered fog. What will you expect when you go on the
    bridge?

    Which all are the equipments on bridge to monitor weather?
    What is a masion’s hygrometer?
    How do you determine due point?

    Your 2nd Officer calls, you says barometric pressure has dropped more than 5MB in the last four

    your duty officers? Ans: Tell him you will check the deck log if it was mentioned that it was a
    cloudy sky … then u you will advise the duty officer to mention the same thing compass error
    book to the corresponding date
    Your ship has come out of a repair yard and there has been a major steel work. What is the first
    thing you will ask your duty officer to check with regards to navigation equipment.

    Capt Chris Roe is a very genuine guy. He expects answers as master. You don’t need to quote the
    entire thing. You only need to say what a Master will do in a particular situation. He doesn’t need
    an essay only bullet points.
