Surveyor: Cpt. Nayyer Hussain NaqviI logged in 15 minutes before the exam and immediately after few seconds Cpt. Naqvi also joined and straightway started with quick chat i.e my experience, what kind of ships etc. He asked me which exams your appearing right now, then normal formalities. He told me that as this exam for chief mates unlimited and for master under 3000 GRT, so in between the orals he will put me as a master for which I will be notify.
1. You are joining as chief officer, what documents you will take over form outgoing chief officer during handovers.
2. Your last cargo was sulphur and next loading cargo will be grain. How you will prepare the hold for hold preparation and loading.
3. Cargo figures are not matching, how you will proceed.
4. What documents you will exchange with shipper in such scenario.
5. Mater inform you that the vessel schedule for next voyage from Antwerp to Panama, what will be your concern as chief officer for proposed passage.
6. During voyage cadet is on watch with you, explain him what are the limitations of ECDIS.
7. During voyage received heavy weather warning, what will be your concern as chief officer, how will you prepare the vessel.
8. During heavy weather chief cook and master severely injured, what will be your action.
9. Now you are taking as a master how you will deal with cook and master repatriation.
10. As a master how will you prepare for helicopter operation and documents required for the same.
11. What documents you will give to master & chief officer to take with him.
12. What will be your concern after taking over as master.
13. During heavy weather vessel hull ruptured, company wants you to proceed for Dry dock, how you will prepare your vessel for dry dock.
14. What will be your concern while entering in dry dock.
15. Vessel docked now company wants you to prepare for MLC inspection, how you will prepare your vessel for MLC inspection.
16. MLC inspection successfully completed now new master arrived how you will handover.
17. Vessel repaired at dry dock now prepare vessel for flooding. What will be your concern as chief officer?
18. As a chef officer how will you implement Garbage Management Plan.
