    18. Ship has grounded what will you be checking? What will you do?
    19. What are the lifting inspection requirements for the ships cranes/derricks?
    20. What will they test the crane to, will this be to the SWL?
    21. How will they conduct these tests?
    22. Radar plot, onscreen wouldn’t work so he asked me to complete a plot on my sheet and tell me what actions?

    27. What will you be completing once cargo is loaded?

    31. Where will the blocks go?
    32. Where else? Can they go anywhere on ships hull?
    33. What as mate will you be checking prior to dry dock?
    34. What is the first thing you will do when in dry dock?
    35. Left drydock and now deep sea, fire alarm goes in engine room. Actions as master.

    40. Tell me what you know about beaching?
    41. How will you do beaching?
    42. How will you let other ships know?
    43. Enclosed space entry into wing ballast tank. Tell me how you will do this.
    44. What is stowage factor?

Examiner dug deep into cargo, this was a lot of the exam, he will pick up on the things you mention and ensure you know what you are talking about. He seemed to have an answer in mind for every question and if I didn’t say it he would allow me to keep talking until he moved me on or dig into my answer.

    Good luck to all.
