    ORAL REPORT: MASTER’S UNLIMITED

    EXAMINER: Mahmood Hassan
    ONLINE: 1Hr 30 Mins
    VESSEL EXPERIANCE: Offshore/RoPax/Superyacht/Naval Auxiliaries
    OUTCOME: Pass

I had a problem logging on via the app. The link would only work using a web browser.

The examiner logged on at 0850 BST, I informed him about my technical problem, he informed me it is a common problem with certain MacBook’s and was happy to continue. He briefed me about rules and regulations, and asked if I had all other tabs closed on the computer. He then asked for my ID and explained to me the examination code of conduct. He told me that as this was a Masters Unlimited exam, he would be asking me management questions and that my answers maybe right today but if they aren’t of management standard it wouldn’t be a pass. Direct answers only. Finally he asked if I was happy for the examination to be recorded.

*I have not supplied my answers as I don’t want to confuse people or people think that it is the only answer, all examiners are different, I have however supplied key points he was after as a reference*

He started the exam asking what my last ship was.

As it is an unlimited exam my ship type would change throughout the exam and he would inform me when it does. He said I may not have experience on that ship type but I should have enough knowledge to satisfy him that I could command any ship.
