    Master Unlimited Oral Report
    Examiner: Nayyer Naqvi
    Date: 8th October 2025
    Outcome: Pass
    Time: 52 minutes
For exam purposes he stated that I was going to be joining a product carrier as master.
Prior to that he asked for my previous experience, and I told him I have only worked on
    LNG carriers.
So, he asked how I was going to join a new ship as master; I started with the oQice visit
for briefing with various heads of department. Then after that I continued with being
    dropped oQ at the jetty.
How would you take command as new master? (entry in OLB)
What certificate will be issued by the class and flag under ACS?
How would you prepare for a load line survey?
How you prepare for an MLC survey?
Filipino Chief oQicer joining your vessel, actions?
17 years old cadet joining, actions?
Steering is sluggish, actions? I spoke about a possible gyro failure or shallow depth
Then I spoke about gyro failure
After that he told be vessel had run aground, actions?
    What certificates will be aQected?
Vessel is to proceed to a port of refuge, actions?
Repairs complete what will be your actions as master before departure?
Cadet reports that he is being bullied by the bosun, actions?
Chief engineer got injured onboard and is to be evacuated, how would you carry out
    helicopter operations.
After you have oQ signed your Chief engineer what would be your considerations as
master. (SMD, dispensation, Hours of work and rest, etc.)
Synoptic chart showed me an occluded front and asked me what it was and what the
    weather would be expected.
Vessel in the dangerous semi-circle, northern hemisphere actions as master?
Then for the Buoys, initially he told me to identify several buoys full characteristics.
Then two separate situations one in bound, another outbound.
Then I was told to identify the lights, sound signals and day shapes of several vessels.
Then he gave me three situations: sailing vessel on my starboard side, power driven on
my port side, then fishing vessel with an outlying gear on my starboard side and RAM on
my port side. Then for the final ROR I was a CBD and I had an NUC crossing port side.
Then my final question was a radar plot; two targets forward of the beam risk of collision
exists and restricted visibility as well.
After that he told me I had passed.
He is a very good examiner. Once you tell him what he wants to hear he is happy to
    move on
