Air start system, draw and explain,
What safety’s on air start system: think he was looking for the flame trap.

Draw a block diagram of your engine to your prop and explain, I drew engine, reduction gear box, propeller shaft,stern tube and prop.
He then asked about reduction gearbox, think he wanted to know how it worked , I said about gear teeth of different sizes to reduce the engine rpm down to slower speed for the propeller . Not very sure if this was what he was looking for but he moved on.
He then asked about stern tube/ stern seals.
Then he asked about variable pitch propeller .
Draw the bilge system on your boat and explain, said about holding tank, ows, ocm, and 3 way valve to return back to tank if more than 15ppm ,
