Result- Pass (1st attempt) time 1hr 30 minutes.
Below the list of question which I have been asked.
1. How you join the ship once agent left you at jetty at Port Hedland.
2. Which all statutory certificate, SOLAS certificate will you check.
3. Content of Documents of Compliance, who issue and validity.
4. Master responsibilities to implement ISM on board.
5. MLC- which all certificate you required to carry.
6. Content of DMLC part2.
7. What is SEA
8. Alternative compliance scheme and who issue COI.
9. How you will advise to newly joined chief mate to load iron ore from Port Hedland to Mundra, complete cargo plan and loading procedure, intact stability criteria for same vessel.
10. How you will advise to 2nd off and chief engineer to prepare for same voyage.
11. Where you will find out the critical equipment list.
12. Vessel around 60-mile SW of cochin with wind force 6 in SW monsoon and Main Engine failed and chief engineer not sure how much time it will take to repair, drifting towards shore and (I answered that will arrange for towage or in shallow water drop anchor to hold position)
next- you are having only 5 hrs. to reach to shore and towage to going to arrive in 8 hrs. action
finally, I went for salvage, then he only asked which form required to use in salvage.

25. Showing a picture of radar with 3/O on watch vessel position close to land- range on 12NM, speed 16.5 knots, guard zones on range rings on (almost similar picture as shown during our course by Capt. Vinil but vessel position very close to land on port side while enough sea room on stbd.)- now as a master you come on bridge and had a look on radar what action will you take.
26. How you will proceed with merchant navy code of conduct for this incident.
27. Buoyage-
Region B- preferred channel to port, light characteristic – rhythm and action.
Lateral mark port side inbound light characteristic and action.
Cardinal marks- East Cardinal-heading northly, South Cardinal- heading westerly; light description and action.

a. Shared screen with TSS own vessel has to cross TSS, and on both lane two other PDV following general direction of traffic flow. explain rule of crossing in TSS and how will you cross.
b. What a restricted visibility you will define- which all rules are applied in RV,
c. given to do radar plotting three echoes on forward of port beam starting bearing approximately 310, and on abaft of stbd. Beam there are only one echo own vessel on heading 000 and speed 15kts complete the radar plot on radar plotting sheet (AOW triangle) and show on camera.
d. 2nd situation with true vector one target on fwd. of stbd. beam vector length bigger than own vessel ROC, other target on port quarter vector length less than own vector no risk of collision – explain rule no 19 d and take action.

f. Trawler on stbd. side making way hauling her net more than 50m – identification, day shape, fog signal and action.
