    I LOGGED IN 10 MINS AHEAD OF MY SCHEDULED TIME, AND THE SURVEYOR ALSO JOINED EXACTLY AT MEETING SCHEDULE.

    THE SURVEYOR BEGAN BY FIRST BRIEFING ABOUT ONLINE ORAL EXAMINATION. ASKED ME TO SHOW THE
    ROOM BY ROTATING THE LAPTOP. THEN ASKED ME CONFIRM THAT THERE ARE NO MOBILE AND OTHER
    ELECTRONIC GADGETS IN THE ROOM.
    HE ASKED ME THEN TO SHOW MY PASSPORT’S PHOTO PAGE CLOSE TO THE CAMERA AND ASKED ME TO CONFIRM MY DATE OF BIRTH.
    THEN HE TOLD HE WILL CONDUCT THE EXAM AS PER MGN 653 – AMENDMENT 1 AND IF I HAD ANY DOUBTS TO CLARIFY.

    1. LAST VESSEL AND COMPANY DETAILS, CARGO CARRIED AND AREA OF TRADE.
    2. JOINING AS CHIEF OFFICER, HOW TO GO ABOUT IT AND TAKING OVER FROM CHIEF OFFICER IN CCR. (FULL TAKING OVER PROCEDURE FROM QUAYSIDE)

    HE IS A VERY CALM, FAIR AND PRACTICAL EXAMINER AND AS IF HE SEES THAT YOU STRUGGLING WITH ANY QUESTION, WILL WAIT FOR YOU TO COME UP WITH ANSWER. HE PROMPTED ME ONLY ON RARE OCCASIONS WHERE HE FELT THAT I KNEW THE ANSWER BUT GETTING NERVOUS AND REPEATING THE WHOLE ANSWER AGAIN TO MYSELF ON LOW VOICE.
    BY HIS FACIAL EXPRESSION OR SAYING OK HE SHOWED NO SIGNS THAT HE WAS SATISFIED OR NOT (HE CLARIFIED THIS THING IN THE BEGINNING ONLY) BUT UNLESS HE IS NOT DIGGING TO ANY QUESTION THAT MEANS YOU ARE ON RIGHT TRACK.
