    My oral was scheduled on 25th June 2020 at 1000 hrs. I called up MCA at 0950 hrs
    10 mins prior to scheduled time by clicking on the link provided to me through the
    invitation link. Surveyor came on the other side. She asked me not to
    use the ear phone and directly use the speaker device. She told me to join her after
    10 mins 1000 hrs. She shared with me her desktop screen and made me familiar
    with MCA oral policy, cheating policy and also asked me to rotate laptop 360
    degrees. She placed me on a tanker vessel and started orals
     What SOLAS certificate will you expect to find after joining a tanker vessel?
     Who issues ISSC certificate and frequency of checks by MCA?
     Explain Work and rest hours? What if a crew member comes to you with the
    complain that his work and rest hours is not complied. What action will you
    take as a Master of the vessel?
     While Bunkering operation, there is a bunker spill and Bunker has spilled
    overboard. Actions ?
     One Port Ballast tank has Flooded, Action?
     Which certificate will get affected after the breach of tank?
     Next port of call you have a load line survey. How will you prepare your vessel
    for load line Survey?
     How will you prepare your vessel for heavy weather? What is Heave 2?
     What happens when propeller immersion is less?
     What is parametric rolling and Synchronous rolling?
     What are the damages specifically to tanker vessel when experiencing
    pounding ?
     Why do we fill tanker vessel to max 98% volume?
     She shared a chart with me and told me that your vessel has grounded.
    Action?
     She shared a synoptic chart with me and placed me at a point on that chart
    and asked me to explain what weather will you experience
     IALA buoyage. Heading Northerly both the Buoys
    1) North cardinal buoy, Explain what is all way off?
    2) East cardinal buoy
    3) Preferred Channel to Starboard
    She shared screen with me and asked me to identify type of vessel, Size, Status, fog
    signal, day light shapes and action

    Power driven vessel more than 50 m
    Explain the part of rule 17 where it says vessel SHALL take action?

    RV situation
    There was a vessel on starboard side abaft of my beam and another vessel on
    port bow. There was no Risk of collision with the port bow vessel and risk of
    collision with Stbd Abaft vessel so I took action to alter course to Port side. Later
    she asked me to draw it on the Radar plotting sheet and show her.
    She said your oral exam is over and asked me to call her back after 5 mins using
    the same link and when I called her she said you have PASSED the Oral exam.
