Introduced himself and asked about type of ship and at what capacity I am sailing as
And then he Started off briefing with how the examination would be conducted since I am
applying for master’s unlimited I would be asked questions on any type of ship , conducted a
quick search around my room and briefed me about oral syllabus on which I would be
examined .
1) Joining a container ship at berth in china what all certificates you would check.
2) How would you get to know the shipowners name other than from CSR and DOC
(Certificate of registry) .
3) Usually a container ship operates at what type of charters (eventually he nudged me
into explaining all three types)
4) Now your vessel is scheduled for a dry dock in china what all preparation will you
undertake
5) Explain P FORCE , CRITICAL PERIOD and INSTANT .
6) How is Loss of GM Related to TRIM
7) Surveys preparation for SEQ and SAFCON
8) Ship about to leave the the drydock what all checks would you carry out W.R.T

9) Difference between DMLC 1 AND 2
10) What are the procedures/precautions whilst carrying out fumigation in an grain
cargo
11) What are the procedures /precautions while loading high density cargo (iron ore)
12) You receive order to proceed towards US from china how would you carry out

fronts and asked to explain what is means and how would be the weather be about
in that region and heavy weather preps for the same

Rules

He informed that I passed.
Examiner was extremely fair and practical in his approach, keeps you at ease at all
times, prompts you towards the answer which he is looking for .
Overall for me I feel extremely lucky and struggle for me was getting the noe (took
nearly six months with all correct docs and company letter) …
ALL questions here was as per our GMA notes, just going through GMA notes and
watching panapto was more than enough for me.
